   Answer below.

Some exciting news here in Colorado!

Grandmaster Gata Kamsky is coming to town!

He is going to be playing in the 2015 Denver Open, June 13-14. https://www.denverchess.com/denveropen

GM Kamsky is four-time US champion, and world champion candidate.   He was ranked 4th in the world in 1995.  You can read more about him here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gata_Kamsky

He is also going to be giving a lecture and 20 board simul on Friday June 12.  I'm already signed up!

Kamsky is driving across the country, and reached out to the Denver Chess Club leadership to ask about playing in this event.  The Denver Chess Club and Colorado State Chess Association did a great job working together to help make this happen!

   So it is very exciting!

You can find out details about the simul and lecture here:  https://www.denverchess.com/tournaments/tla/gatakamskysimul

   Gata Kamsky

Life Master Brian Wall will be doing an "opening act" lecture Friday June 12 at 4pm.  His plan at the moment is to look at Kamsky's win over Tal when Gata was 16 years old.  You can see this game here: http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1066553

Kamsky plans to discuss the London System opening during his lecture.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_System.  Kamsky is probably the highest rated player to ever use the London on a regular basis.  There are a fair number of London players here in Colorado, so I think that will be of interest to many.

I'm very excited about the whole thing, and it should be a lot of fun!
