oday I want to "officially" announce my new eBook that I co-wrote with Anthea Carson, "Tactics Time! 1001 Chess Tactics from the Games of Everyday Chess Players", which is now for sale on amazon.com, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009TBYA7U/.
I am super proud of this book. It was a lot of effort to make, and also a lot of fun.
The book has been for sale for about a month now, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
Right now it is the #1 best seller for Chess Kindle books, and in the top ten for all chess books (paperback or electronic) on amazon.
The book contains 1001 tactics problems, similar to the ones in my newsletter, all taken from real chess players, and real games. Most of the games are from players rated below 2000.
There are USCF rated games, club games, scholastic games, blitz games, correspondence games, and games from ICC, FICS, redhotpawn, chess.com, and other on-line servers.
These tactics problems are the types of things that you are likely to see in your own games.
Here is a sample of some of the feedback that I have gotten:
"Your kindle book Tactics Time is excellent... Your positions look exactly like many of the games I have played on ICC and FICS. Thank you for all your work. We patzers appreciate it." ~ Daniel L. via e-mail
"I want to thank you for re-sparking my interest in chess. I think trying to read and understand material that was written strictly by grandmasters makes the game frustrating. Do you know how many countless chess books I've started just to put them down after reading a chapter or two finding out that the material was just too difficult to retain?" ~ Joey G. via e-mail
Some of the reviews on amazon.com were really amazing also, and very touching.
Life Master Brian Wall wrote, "This book is a labor of love, you couldn't pay someone to spend the years necessary collecting puzzles this book took to create." Brian's review also contained the really cool quote that I used above.
If you don't own a Kindle, there is free Kindle reader software for just about every platform. Go here to download Kindle reader software for Windows, Mac, Android, iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, etc.
So, check out the book, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009TBYA7U/ - I think you will really like it. It is only 4.99, and amazon will give you a full refund within 7 days if for any reason you don't like it.
Thanks again for your support!
